Health & Wellness

If you are sick, feel sick, and/or have a fever, your appointment will be rescheduled.

I only service clients ages 14 and older.

Hair Length & Density

Please be sure your hair length is appropriate for the style are you booking for. Certain hair lengths(short/long) and types (thickness) may not be best for certain styles. Recommended length is 4-8 inches all over the entire head.

 When booking for soft locs, crochet/braiding styles, please include the color hair desired in your notes. If you have areas of concern that you’re not sure about, please text Shakira a picture of your natural hair for a quick consultation. It is free! If getting locs, DO NOT PUT ANY CHEMICALS IN YOUR HAIR (relaxer, color, perm, etc) right before your appointment. To avoid damage to your hair, I will not service you and you will have to reschedule. Please wait at least 3 weeks after getting a chemical service to have your locs installed. 

Makeup Services

For Makeup, please come with a clean, freshly washed face and freshly waxed/threaded/arched brows. I can clean up your brows for you, it will be an additional fee.

Punctuality & Additional Guests

 NO extra guests allowed, unless they’re being serviced, please. If you bring additional guests, your appointment will have to be rescheduled.

If you are 10 minutes late, a late fee of $25 is applied to your service. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will have to be rescheduled. If you cancel your appointment late (less than 24 hours from your appointment time) you will be charged 100% of the service fee.

You can reschedule to a new appointment that’s within 30 days of your original appointment, you can use the same deposit. If the new date is outside of 30 days, a new deposit is required. If the new deposit isn’t paid within 4 hours of rescheduling, the new appointment will be canceled. NO CALL/NO SHOW WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING CHARGED 100% FOR SERVICES!

Deposits & Payments

All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE and goes towards the balance of your service. So please be sure you want the style and/or makeup services that you’re booking for. TRYING TO DISPUTE YOUR CHARGE FOR THE DEPOSIT OR SERVICES THAT HAVE BEEN RENDERED WILL RESULT IN BANISHMENT FROM FUTURE BOOKINGS! No refunds on ANY SERVICES once they’ve been rendered! If you want to change something, please let me know before leaving my chair. If something needs to be fixed, I’m willing to fix it. 

Faux Locs & Crochet Services

Once you’ve chosen your style of locs or crochet, YOU CANNOT CHANGE IT! Doing so could result in paying a new deposit bc I purchase the hair in advance. 

Before/After Hours & Holidays

Makeup appointments before 9am or after 6pm will be an additional $35 fee. Hair appointments before 9am or after 6pm will be an additional $50 fee. NO EXCEPTIONS! Sunday appointments are also an additional fee of $35 for makeup, $50 for hair and classes. Holiday appointments are automatically an additional $75, so please be sure that you want to book!!
